journey to the center of ohio

okay, so first, here are some random outfit pictures from the 18th (or so the file says...)

jeans, heels, & sweater, jcrew; tee, f21

but more to the point...i took a break from cincinnati earlier this week to visit my old stomping grounds in the fine capital city of columbus (and the shopping opportunities therein contained). i used an incredible amount of restraint, but managed to pick up a few key pieces that i've been looking to add.

floral/polka dot tunic, patent oxfords, & military pins, f21; leopard print tights and leather-like leggings; express; gold 'givenchy style' chains and black strapless dress, h&m; striped sweater; banana republic (courtesy of a bday giftcard from my bff, abby (yes i know i'm twelve).

and for good measure, here are some weekly outfits making good use of my new purchases...

top & necklace, f21; leggings, express; heels, steve madden

dress, necklaces; h&m; oxfords, f21; tank, hanes

dress, necklace, tee, f21; heels, steve madden

sweater, banana; shorts, oxfords, necklace, f21

owing largely to f21's dress code, i've gotten quite adept at the whole strapless-dress-layering scenario and am totally loving it!

in response to newcomer questions about the burberry-esque studded heels, there are some previous posts that give the materials necessary for the project and a kind of play by play for their creation...however, if you'd actually like to re-create them, shoot me an email and i'd be more than happy to walk you through the details (i've done this for a couple of people already and am super psyched to see the results!)
while we're on the subject...i was at a bar the other night and a random guy professed love for my studded heels, and when i told him i'd done the dirty work myself, he promptly took me to the bar and paid for my (and my friend cassie's) drink. let it never be said that shoes are not an investment :)

'sex' on the brain

god, it's good to be back. frequency will increase: promise with a capital p (even though i write in all lowercase). thanks, so much for all the well wishes! things are going great at f21; new merchandise comes in everyday and i'm like a kid on christmas waiting for them to open the boxes and peel of the plastic wrap. each shift is like an exercise in self control, believe me!

in other retail adventures, i stopped by the bookstore and picked up the satc movie book (sadly i was not the recipient of a birthday copy), complete with full color documentation of all wardrobe changes (drool).

and, i'll admit, it's having a bit of an effect on my wardrobe choices. see below...
dress, jcrew; wrap, f21; studded belt, target; heels, steve madden
i have more photos on my camera but forgot to load them onto the old laptop before a semi-spontaneous panera visit...so i'll get those up shortly, for sure.

i know you all miss 'the door' but...

dress, urban; tooled bangle and tights, f21; heels, steve madden

tee, american apparel; jean, bdg @ uo; heels, diy; clutch and necklace, f21

locket, uo; shorts, old navy cutoffs; shirt, tom james custom; wedges, banana republic

dress, ella moss; burnout tee, f21; wedges, colin stuart for vs

skirt, tee, f21; belt, mine from when i was a kid

sweater, dress, f21; boots, sam edelman
sweater, necklace, dress, f21; sandals, jcrew
...and as a very observant (and, in all probability, equal clothes-obsessed) reader remarked on...yes, the red skirt from the 'reddy for a change' post IS, in fact, american apparel, not urban outfitters. good catch...
